Scratch the Surface: Photographs by Mark Hopper
Photographer Mark Hopper’s bold portraits of iconic musicians Doc Neeson and Angus Young contrast with the quiet grace of the people he has met on his travels.
The Artspace’s Invited Artist for 2016, Hopper has recently shown work in the National Photographic Portrait Prize exhibition. The selected photograph ‘Now We Must Climb Higher’ reflects the anticipation of his subjects – two young boys about to climb a treacherous monolith in Sri Lanka. This and other stunning works will be on display.
Currently, the local photographer is spellbound by the people, markets and energy of Box Hill – finding beauty in everyday life.
